Site Superintendent (SLO County)

GC/Construction Management firm in San Luis Obispo is seeking a QUALIFIED Project Superintendent with experience in multi-family home construction to join our team.
Bottom line is we need someone to be able to receive a set of job duties and then run with it. It's not easy but a self-starter with a can-do attitude will figure it out especially if you have the experience we're looking for.
We don't believe in micro-managing but feel that constant communication about the current status of the job makes sure issues are picked up before they become added job costs. If you lack attention to detail then this job may not be for you. We at NK Builders pride ourselves on a job well done with as little unforeseen issues as possible.
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:
A strong background in multi-family home construction
Excellent communications skills with the entire project team, clients, etc.
A strong background in managing all field aspects of the construction process
The ability to look ahead, analyze and address issues before they become critical to the success of the project
Excellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office, e-mail, etc.
Set priorities and use time effectively with the ability to build, maintain and push the construction schedules
Ability to maintain a safe work environment, following all company and OSHA guidelines
Managing daily logs, creating and distributing RFI's, documenting and reporting of field-generated change orders, scheduling of subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors
A self-starter, proactive in your approach to handling your responsibilities
Estimating skills a plus
A college degree is a plus, but not required

Tracking lien releases and insurance
Assist PM’s with assembling bid packages. Following up with Subs during the bid process.
Work with Site Superintendents managing field document control
Keep our website and social media platforms up to date (or assist our Marketing Consultant)
